This summer The Garden’s Edge supporters hosted five grass-roots fundraising events around Albuquerque, to raise funds and build awareness about sustainable agriculture and community empowerment in Guatemala.
As part of a unique cultural exchange, six farmers from Qachuu Aloom (Mother Earth) Association were present at each event to talk about their experiences reviving traditional agricultural. They taught tortilla making, and shared stories about their project.
These events helped to build bridges between our two cultures.
